November 2019 Update
We have accomplished two of our 2019 goals heading into the last month of the year. We've exceed 200 overall members including 20 at the student/intern level. Thanks to all of you especially my fellow board members and volunteers for helping to achieve these goals. We had a great meetup in November with Boyden Rohner from DHS CISA and Richard Spires from Learning Tree engaging with our members. Special thanks to Kim Lessard, Carlo Espiritu and Katie Lewin from the Cloud Security Alliance DC chapter for your support in making this the first of what will hopefully be many more joint ISC2/CSA events to come.
Our board has been busy putting together more events for you:
December 5: Member social at Gordon Biersch in Tysons Corner
January 9, 2020: Beau Houser, Census CISO (INVITED) at Capital One in Tysons, plus Elections!
As these sessions are confirmed, we will post them on our event calendar and send out email notifications to our members so you can register. Make sure you are registered as a member so you can get notified - our events fill up quickly. If you have any questions or have ideas on how we can improve your experience as a chapter member, please contact me at firstname.lastname@example.org. We are also looking for candidates to run for President, Treasurer and Secretary as well, so reach out to me if you or someone you know is interested. You must be an active chapter member and an ISC2 member in good standing to run for office. Thank you for your support.
