December 2019 Update
We have accomplished two of our 2019 goals heading into the last month of the year. We've exceed 200 overall members including 20 at the student/intern level. Thanks to all of you especially my fellow board members and volunteers for helping to achieve these goals. We had a great meetup on December 5 at Gordon Biersch in Tysons where we had a chance to say thank you to our members with some food, drink and fun. (ISC)2 Board of Directors member Tony Cole stopped by to show his support, and we had two candidates speak up and run for our January elections. In total, the following members will be running:
Patrick Thompson (current Membership chair) for President
James Simonetti (current board member and events volunteer) for Secretary
James Ruffin for Membership chair
Rob Schwartz for Treasurer
We thank Miranda Ritchie as outgoing Secretary and Dave Rubal as outgoing Treasurer.
Our board has been busy putting together more events for you:

February 13, 2020: Jeff Harris, SBA CISO (INVITED) at Marymount U. in Ballston
March 12, 2020: Speaker TBD at Navy Federal in Vienna

Make sure you are registered as a member so you can get notified - our events fill up quickly. If you have any questions or have ideas on how we can improve your experience as a chapter member, please contact me at firstname.lastname@example.org. Thank you for your support.
